This trip was started on 24 December 2010 it was be the new year holiday trip
At the evening time in Bangkok we departed from Bangkok heads to New Delhi using Cathay Pacific Airline, we Arrived at Delhi International Airport on-time around 20.45. We already booked for the first night hotel with airport pick-up so when we out from the arrival meeting point, the driver were right there and showed up my name at his board, about 30 minutes the driver drived their Tata get to the Pallavi Hotel, nears to the Delhi Train Station. We decided not to go out, and instead we relaxed in our hotel room. I could have sat in bed and played games like http://www.partycasino.com/ or solitaire on my laptop, but we decided to have an early night so we were refreshed and energized for our first day of exploring.
[25-12-2010] At the morning we immediate went to the Train station next to our hotel to simply asking about to going to Kashmir, there are crowded over there in Train station later we started to fear about many people try to invited and asked many things about kinds of service hotel food travel transportation,... but we have met someone great by trying to help us find the way out, they tells us that you are not good to go any place by the train in this moment due to it's the christmas moment it's the holiday and people going back their homeland and in India people are mostly using Train, they tells us to go to the agency and they can help, then they ask for the tricycle taxi for us. At the first we planned to go Srinagar (capital city of Jammu&Kashmir) by using the train to Jammu then Bus to Srinagar, but people are using so much train we have to change the plan. About 10 minutes we get to the tourist agency at the center of Delhi nears Cannaught Place and ask them to plan about our trip to Srinagar as long as Agra (where the Taj-Mahal located), They tells us, go Srinagar first then back to Agra, the bus will take 25 hours approximately to Srinagar, and will departed in the next day noon. We has no choice by full of every flights and crowded using trains. We have so much time on that day to go to find some breakfast near to the agency office and buy some swetter and coat because many people said that time in Srinagar was minus temperature. We move the hotel to another place at the center of the city nears to tourist agency, and metro for easily to travel and find some good and clean foods, after that we deside to go to Red Fort (17th century fort complex constructed by the Mughal emperor) at the old Delhi side city by using the subway from Rajiv Chowk to Chandni Chowk after we get to the destination, we just go on foot about 20 minutes to the fort. To pass in the fort there is the fee for that and it still many traveller also Indians, and as every place in India you will see many police scanning for the security weather in the travel spots or the metro, its everywhere. We get in to the Fort its all surrounding by the big and high wall, inside there is like another city that breaks to many construction all well decorated in style, there such a huge and peace place. We went out from Red Fort and 20 minutes walked to the Jama Masjid which is the principal mosque of the Old Delhi and the largest mosque in India, but we had a little dissappointment about they are not allow the big camera in it otherwise charge for 500 rupees even we contain it inside the bag they will not allow, and they tells me if I not want to pay, just leave it with them (who breave?) so I deside to watch it form the outside and then walked back to the Metro Station. Along the way to metro we passed a big busy market because the mosque is lies on the central of Old Delhi, there are many interesting things but we didn't been there for shopping. We get to the metro at the evening about 6PM with unbelieable clouded in there, we have to queue on buying the ticket queue on getting in the terminal, security and get in the train, but one is good by they split the train at the traffic time for lady too!
